For my fans...

Apparently, there's a public clamor for the update of my blog. Two of my fans have been bugging me lately na mag-update naman daw ako as they've been dying to hear the latest buzz bout me. Oh well, sino ba naman ako para tanggihan sila di ba hehehe.

Anyway, a lot of things have happened since my first post. Parang my world took a completely different turn ever since I became a public servant. every task given to me is unique! after ng isang task di ko na naman alam what to expect the next day na papagawa sa kin. nandyan yung pina-adjust sa kin ang budget for a project, gumawa ng memo for big bosses para ma-clear yung deficit sa budget, make a proj proposal, research on designing websites, meetings, etc. Feeling yata ng boss ko eh I'm an accountant/web designer/researcher/public servant all rolled into one! Then they had me attend a seminar on "helping others adapt to change" chuva. Hmm, I wonder why?..

Then today we had a film viewing with matching pizza sponsored by my boss. We watched Pirates, but not Pirates of the Carribean ha. Pirates of the Silicon Valley! It's a story of Steve Jobs and Bill Gates, how they started in the computer industry and the challenges (both personal and professional) they went through. We didn't get to finish the movie kasi nag-hang ang dvd, pirated! haha

I also had my first appearance in court last week and was a bit disappointed. The judge arrived an hour late and di sumipot yung person na kinasuhan ko. And hindi pala ganun ka-dramatic in real life compared sa movies hehe..

Haay with all these stress, I was not surprised anymore that I got sick last weekend. Haay naku thanks to Grissom and the rest of the gang who kept me sane during this adjustment period.

first day high

Today marks the start of my new career as a public servant. Yup, I'm now working in one of the government agencies but I'm not that comfortable yet being called a government employee. In denial?! Hahaha probably. But I guess it has more to do with the negative connotations attached to being a government employee. So I'm calling myself a public servant with my idealism and all. Sabi nga ng HR director ng ahensyang aking pinagtatrabahuhan, "working in the government is a calling". I just hope I made the right choice in answering that 'calling'. After all, I left my boring job in a shared services company for a multinational company for 4 years and 1 month just to heed that calling. Oh well, that's another different story ...

Another reason why I'm feeling this 'first day high' is that finally I've posted my first ever blog. Yey! I've been meaning to create my blog for the longest time but something would always come up. A series of unfortunate events would always come up. And of course, matagal na rin akong kinukulit ni Maryan, my no.1 fan na mag-blog na. After months of procrastinating (and of course because of a series of unfortunate events in my life), I finally did it. Yey!

Anyway, bear with me as I try to find my way around into this blogging world. Haaay, baka ma-lost ako..
